OHAI!

A week is long time to go without updating, though it feels more like years. I've been plenty busy in those seven days with packing, moving, unpacking, Disneyland, and oh yeah, graduating. Let's start with that last one.

Well, looks like in the LJ world, The Office got a big thumbs down.

I'm really proud of this essay. And I sort of hate being all "hey guys! validate my writing abilities!", but I said from the very beginning that I would use this journal as a means of storing what I consider my good pieces.  And this is one of them. -So we have this running joke in the apartment that our fridge is haunted. It makes these moaning, whirring, gurgling noises, mostly in the morning, and it sounds like someone's trying to get out.  Today, for our entertainment, the ghost was performing a full on opera. There were crescendos and high notes; I was impressed.

It's a little worrisome that I rarely have the desire to write in here anymore. It's starting to feel more like an obligation than a fun hobby, and that's just no good. Another weekend gone, and Monday is here again. I don't dread Monday's like I used to, and having only one class isn't really cause for complaint. But a new Monday does mean a new week and I'm that much closer to the end.

Well, Laughlin was fabulous. There is no better way to unwind from finals than laying out by a pool, reading, floating down the Colorado River, and dancing until 1:30 AM with your closest friends/sisters.  Not to mention being on the road for four hours there and back, which led to plenty of hilarious times and sayings that will for sure be going ( Read more... )

It's 5:00, I'm on the fifth page of a five page paper, and I think those are good enough reasons to take five minutes to write in here.
